La Grande Boréale: A new gravel bike route in the Laurentians

Starting in May 2026, Gravelle Laurentides will offer a new adventure cycling experience. La Grande Boréale is a 255–350 km gravel bike route that can be completed in four or five days. Developed by the Société de plein air des Pays-d’en-Haut (SOPAIR), the MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut, and Plein Air Pays-d’en-Haut, the route invites gravel bike fans to discover the Laurentians in a whole new way.
Cyclists start in Morin-Heights and pedal through many well-loved areas including Val-David, Sainte-Lucie, and the Parc national du Mont-Tremblant, before heading through the Parc Éco des Laurentides and looping back to the start point. The scenic route combines gravel roads, paved sections, and natural trails. Cyclists can plan their stops along the way with abundant accommodation options ranging from campgrounds to charming inns. Avid riders can extend the route with an optional extra section, the Retraite de l’Ouest, which adds an  extra day of exploration that includes the “aerobic corridor.”

La Place du Sommet: New attraction at Sommet Saint-Sauveur

Starting in August, Sommet Saint-Sauveur will inaugurate La Place du Sommet, a new mountaintop attraction accessible year-round via Chairlift 71. Visitors can enjoy a 220 m aerial network of suspended treetop walkways, interspersed with bridges and relaxation areas. Trails on the ground complete the experience and facilitate access for people with varying levels of mobility.
Multiple lookouts afford clear views of the Saint-Sauveur valley and village. The site also includes an alpine-inspired general store and a slate of seasonal programming. Its accessibility and high altitude make La Place du Sommet an exceptional observation point, especially during the splendid autumn colour change.

Lièvre Rouge: Diving into wellness in the Upper Laurentians

The Refuge du Lièvre Rouge in the Upper Laurentians is enlarging its offering with a sixth micro-chalet, La Chanterelle, which opened in January.
Stretching out over 275 acres of preserved land, the site features off-grid accommodation with six micro-chalets, a yurt, a café/bar, and the Spa du Sous-Bois. The Refuge experience is entirely private: groups are received one at a time in a setting ideal for true disconnection and extended stays.
Starting in April, forest therapy sessions will be added to the program, since staff member Mathieu Cléroux has been certified by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. This reinforces the site’s vocation as an immersive destination centred on wellness in nature.

Lakeside cabins will now have individual pontoons, making it easier to rent boats for the duration of your stay.
Huttopia is also offering a new canoe-camping experience that combines boating and overnight stays in the heart of nature. Two options are available: the Bonaventure tent has a queen-size bed, while the Canadian tent has a wood stove and two sleeping areas. Perfect for couples and families, this package provides a supervised introduction to canoe-camping – just right for beginners.
